Writing
Nothing Else Calling All Day
This has been one of those days where nothing is calling, where nothing is needed to be done, and where nothing else matters.
Of course I’m spending it writing. Also, reading - epubs, PDFs, physical books. I have a whole library to catch up on, including several books I have obtained over the past two or three weeks.
These books include:-
Gillian Anderson, Want (in epub)
Chase Hughes, The Behaviour Ops Manual
Harriet Rubin, The Princessa - Machiavelli for Women
James F Hancock, Plant Evolution and The Origin of Crop Species
Ninon De L’Enclos, Life and Letters
Some of these are physical. Some, electronic. I have one or two in both formats.
In any case, it is such a pleasure to just enjoy reading for its own sake.
As for my writing, take it from me - a lot of the above is relevant to what I am writing. I have two original novels on the go - both fantasies; a science fiction story about a somewhat hypnotic superhero; and a short story I have been trying to close since last October.
Imagine what all of the above have to do with what I am writing.
