Acting With Resolve
Another ambiguous word, Resolve can either be a noun or a verb. In the Chronicles of Darkness, Resolve is one of the nine Characteristics you can generate.
Characteristics, in the Chronicles of Darkness, can be arranged in a 3x3 matrix. Along the top, to columns for Mental, Physical, and Social Characteristics: and along the sides, Power, Finesse, and Resistance arranged in rows. Resolve is the Mental Resistance Characteristic, used to resist attempts at mental coercion, whether mundane or magical - whether they come from attempts to hypnotise the character using a mundane skill like Hypnosis or NLP, or brainwash them, or use some kind of mental control power such as the Kindred vampire Dominate Discipline.
Characters with high Resolve tend to be head-on-their-shoulders types, not easily swayed. deceived, or seduced.

Setting: Stargate
Notes: Assigned as a civilian auxiliary to the Alpha Site, Rupert Charlton laid down his life during one adventure when one of the SG teams assigned to the site turned out to be a Zatarc. Rupert kept himself alive, despite being mortally wounded, long enough to break the news and identify the mind-controlled traitor as Major Larks of SG-4, who’d been conditioned by Baal.
