RPGaDay 2023, Day 30
Getting close to the end ...
This one’s interesting. An obscure game.
A few years back, I bought a copy of Vampire: the Requiem, and somebody told me that the game was mainstream.
I’ve played, and own, a number of obscure games. Over The Edge; Unknown Armies; The Esoterrorists; and I’ve played World of Darkness games back when they were obscure.
There’s Mythras, M-Space, Odd Soot, Comat Engine, and Mongoose Legend. And I have played, and run, almost all of the above.
There is also Alice Is Missing, which is a game with a really weird premise; and Chuubo’s Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine.
But the most obscure ones I own, and not game, are Cat’s Dream, and the following games by Howard “Wood” Ingham: Chariot, The Shivering Circle, and Worst Case Scenario - a game which you can only win if you speak Welsh.
Oh, and before I sign out for tonight, let’s not forget Berin Kinsman’s Lightspress Media, and the older games he’d released before the current incarnations of DoubleZero and Fantasy Manifesto, formerly Foragers’ Manifesto - namely, the late Hippogryph, and the earlier incarnation of DoubleZero.
I’d say all of the above should be obscure enough to qualify for this entry.
Just tomorrow’s entry, now, and that’ll be it for RPGaDay 2023. See you tomorrow, when the winner, Traveller, will be revealed.
Whoops. Spoilers.
