RPGaDay 2023, Day 15
A Race Through Dark Places
So, yesterday we covered a purchase I made at a games convention. This one covers the last game convention I ever attended, which was a virtual GenCon, two years ago in 2021 IIRC.
I ran a one shot module there titled “A Race Through Dark Places.” The setting was a little villa on the shore of Lake Lascha, the lake which feeds the city of Fioracitta.
I ran this module twice on two consecutive nights.
What I didn’t tell anybody was that the adventure I ran the first group through on Saturday was not the same as the one I ran the Sunday group through.
The first adventure was about the Avventurieri (Adventurers) unlocking the machinations of a dangerous Shadow Society cult, before they unleashed the Abyss upon the world. The second was a straightforward “Timmy Stuck In A Well” story which began as an apparent haunting.
Both parties of players enjoyed their sessions, and I couldn’t help but imagine the looks on their faces if they ever got together afterwards to attempt to compare notes on their experiences.
Either way, each group literally enjoyed a unique adventure.
